Now in the final week before Election Day, polls show Prop 4 in a tight race, with very many undecided voters. The Yes on 4 campaign is pushing hard to get across the finish line with a win, and local Indivisible groups (and others) can help out.

The CA Indivisibles Yes on 4 Working Group worked with the Yes on 4 campaign to assemble a package of resources that can be used to promote it. The measure would allow all cities and counties in the state to offer public financing of election campaigns similar to those offered by 5 charter cities: Los Angeles, Long Beach, San Francisco, Berkeley, and Oakland.  Currently only charter cities offer public financing for municipal campaigns, while other cities and counties are banned.  Prop 4 removes the ban.

The resources in this package range from full direct contact with the campaign to social media resources, and other messaging for email or other methods, plus official campaign graphics.

See especially the video by Robert Reich, as well as several other videos by paid influencers (with more to come).

The campaign is beginning text bank during this final push, and there is a link to signups.  There will also be a rapid response signup with notifications of new content available to pass on, and local groups can contact the campaign for more information at a campaign information email address included.

There are some basic talking points listed, with more to be found in the campaign messaging materials and outreach toolkit.

Years of lobbying the state legislature to get it on the ballot finally succeeded last year with the passage of SB 42 after a huge push by a large coalition. The Working Group is asking local Indivisible groups to please help out to the extent that you can, here in the final stretch!
