During the Wednesday evening Indivisible CA Statewide Leaders Call on October 21, State organizer Dennessa Atiles agreed to create a one-way, comment-free, Signal notification chat to send action alerts in case of election interference redlines are crossed in the mid-term election. Local groups can then activate their own notification communications and rapid response plans for their areas.

Dennessa created the chat and invited an initial group of local group leaders to join the chat immediately follow the meeting. She will be adding more local group leaders to the chat as her time and schedule allows. Local groups are encouraged to have at least two members of their leadership teams enrolled in the chat to make sure the notification is received and disseminated as soon as possible after a triggering event occurs.

If your group leader has yet to join the chat, or is not yet on Signal, download the Signal app and search for Dennessa Atiles. Send her a message asking to join the group. If one of your group leaders is already a member of the chat, you can add another member yourself. Capacity is limited, so please only add two group leaders for each local group in California.

In the event that Indivisible national and its Election Protection partners and expert panel members determine that an election interference redline is crossed, California state organizers Dennessa Atiles and Shea Burt will send an alert through the dedicated Signal chat channel. Only administrators of the Signal chat can activate an alert.
